Here's why. The $6.99 includes having a human available to locate and pick your item(s) in the warehouse and get them to the shipping station, then verify accuracy, then select packaging material, then package your shipment, weigh it, then calculate and apply First Class postage which at a minimum is $4.10 to $5.10 based on your zip code, and then assure it is picked up the same day for you, Monday - Friday. On some items the postage alone is $10 and we lose money on shipping, but overall at $6.99 we generally hope to break even on shipping and handling costs.
If you choose to upgrade your shipping to a UPS service, you will be billed actual UPS shipping costs for that service plus a small charge for our fulfilment expense.
Orders shipping to Canada, United Kingdom, Japan or Puerto Rico are not eligible for free shipping, but you can select these shipping destinations and we'll show you the rate.
